Paula Kearney
Director
Paula graduated from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Law French. She studied at Chester Law School and went on to complete her Articles working for two years in a law firm in Reading.
She returned to Northern Ireland in 1996 and joined her father’s firm. She became a partner in the firm in 2000 working alongside Victor Sefton for many years until his retirement.
She maintains an extensive Private Client practice and is extremely client focused. She also specialises in commercial and residential property law. In addition to her property expertise, she assists individuals with estate planning, the drafting of Wills, estate administration, and the establishment of Powers of Attorney.
Judith McConnell

Judith graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 1995 with an Honours Degree in Law and was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1997.
She joined Kearney Sefton Solicitors in 2016 specialising in all aspects of personal injury litigation at both County Court and High Court level, having worked extensively in the areas of employer’s liability, public liability and road traffic accident claims - with a particular interest in credit hire litigation.
Judith also advises and represents insurers in relation to recovery actions and defence litigation as well as private clients in relation to clinical negligence, family and employment matters.
Rhys Lilburn
Solicitor
Rhys graduated from Ulster University with a degree in Law with Criminology and thereafter a Masters in Corporate Law, Computer and Innovation.
He is a dedicated legal professional whose practice focuses primarily on conveyancing for a broad range of clients across both residential and commercial property matters. He can also advise on contractual matters and day-to-day business issues. In addition , he assists clients with Estate Planning, drafting of Wills and Powers of Attorney and Estate Administration.
He maintains strong relationships with existing clients and easily establishes new client connections by working closely with them to understand their objectives, manage legal risk and deliver practical solutions aligned with their wider business needs. With his approachable manner and expertise he guides them knowledgeably through each stage of the process.
Catherine Magee
Litigation Legal Executive
Catherine graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 2010 with an Honours Degree in Law and she attended the College of Law Chester thereafter.
She joined Kearney Sefton Solicitors in 2017 where she handles plaintiff litigation, road traffic accident claims, vehicle damage claims and high-value personal injury cases. She manages claims from start to finish and enjoys guiding clients through each stage of the litigation process.
She has particular interest in medical negligence and continues to develop her expertise in this area.
